Privacy notice

Last updated: September 2026

Your data belongs to you. This notice explains which personal data we process when you visit this website or join the waiting list, why we do so, and which rights you have.

Controller

The controller within the meaning of the GDPR is the company named in the imprint. You can reach us for all privacy matters at the e-mail address given there.

Waiting list

When you join the waiting list we process your name and e-mail address and — if you provide them — your profession and phone number. We also store the language you used, the time of your registration and, where available, the referring website or campaign parameters of the link you followed.

We use this data exclusively to keep your place, to contact you personally about Valinor and its opening, and to plan the house. The legal basis is your consent and the performance of pre-contractual measures at your request (Art. 6 (1) (a) and (b) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future — a short e-mail is enough.

The twelve questions

Answering the questions is voluntary. Your answers are stored together with your waiting-list entry and help us design the house around the people who will use it. We evaluate them in aggregated form and, where useful, to prepare our personal conversation with you.

Confirmation e-mail

After you register we send you a confirmation e-mail with a link that verifies your address. We store whether and when the message was sent and when the address was confirmed, so we can prove the registration. For sending we use an e-mail service provider acting as our processor.

Anonymous statistics — no cookies

We count a few events (page view, opening the waiting-list form, completed registration, completed questions) to understand how well the page works. These counters contain no identifier, no cookie and no IP address and cannot be traced back to you. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal, nothing is counted at all. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving this website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Statistics with your consent

Only if you choose “Accept all” or switch on “Statistics” in the cookie settings, we additionally analyse how the site is used: pages viewed and time spent, scroll depth, sections seen, clicks on links and buttons, clicks that lead nowhere or are repeated in quick succession, which form field was last used and whether a form was sent or left, and technical errors. For this an anonymous, random visit id is kept in your browser's session storage and deleted when you close the tab. We do not store IP addresses, names or anything you type. The data stays on our own servers, is not shared with third parties and is used solely to improve this website. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, § 165 (3) TKG 2021); you can withdraw it at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

Storage on your device

Necessary entries in your browser's local storage make the page work as you expect: your language choice, your cookie choice, and — after you have joined — the fact that you are on the list, so we do not ask you twice. You can delete them at any time in your browser settings.

Hosting and server logs

The website and its database are operated by technical service providers acting as our processors (Art. 28 GDPR). When you open a page, their servers necessarily process your IP address, the time of the request and technical browser information in order to deliver the page and to defend against attacks. Fonts are served from our own domain — no connection to third-party font servers is made.

Retention

We keep your waiting-list data until the waiting list has served its purpose or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to the e-mail address in the imprint.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at.
